Spring Stargazing: New Moon Night Sky Exploration

Join us at Rappahannock County Park, a certified Silver Tier Dark Sky Park, for our first stargazing event of 2025! With the new moon providing optimal dark sky conditions, this evening offers perfect visibility for observing deep sky objects, star clusters, and galaxies. The session begins after sunset (7:59 PM) in designated park areas.

Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance - email rappdarkskies@gmail.com with the completed registration form available for download here: 2025 Dark Sky Registration Form. Please review our Dark Sky Park Protocol before attending. Please arrive with minimal use of headlights, bring red-filtered flashlights if possible, and remember that only astronomical observations and night photography are permitted. Event is weather-dependent; registrants will be notified of any cancellations.
